Our Community Roots
Community Printers was founded in 1977 by a small group of progressive idealists whose goal was to support great community organizations by providing them with affordable printing for their social change projects. The scope of work has now broadened to include high quality printing for a wide range of business, educational, governmental and non-profit organizations while still continuing a commitment to progressive ideals.

Environmentally Friendly Printing
Our commitment to progressive ideals has also endured in our continued focus on environmental responsibility and sustainability. We specialize in the use of recycled papers and vegetable based inks. We began promoting the use of recycled papers in the 1970's when it was nearly impossible to find recycled paper. Because of the efforts of businesses like us and consumers like you, we created a market for recycled papers. Now recycled papers are widely available, competitively priced, high quality and used by the mass consuming public saving hundreds of thousands of trees every year. We also recycle the paper, film and plates that we use in the course of production.
A Community Owned Business
Community Printers is truly a community enterprise. Our assets are held by the Eschaton Foundation, the non-profit umbrella organization for the Resource Center for Non-Violence, Witness for Peace and other social justice organizations. Community Printers contributes a portion of its gross earnings to the Eschaton Foundation.
